Where it begins
Sourced from the forests of the Western Ghats
Every ingredient starts with a name, a place, and a farmer. Our vetiver comes from Virudhunagar. Our neem from organic growers near Coimbatore. Our shikakai from century-old wild stands in the Nilgiris. We visit every source, every season.
When harvesting conditions are poor — drought years, contaminated soil, off-season pressure — we delay production. We have never substituted an ingredient to meet a deadline. That discipline is why our formulas work the same way every time.
How we formulate
No synthetic shortcuts. No proprietary fillers.
A Ver Botanics formula goes through three stages before it reaches you: cold extraction to preserve volatile compounds, pH calibration matched to scalp and skin biology, and stability testing across six months of simulated shelf conditions. Only then does it earn a batch number.
We publish the full ingredient list for every product — including the parts other brands bury in "fragrance" or "blend." If we use it, we name it. That is the Ver standard.

Source transparency
Every ingredient carries a provenance record — grower name, district, and harvest season. We publish this because accountability starts before the formulation stage.
When supply chains tighten, we pause production instead of substituting. Our customers have come to expect the same formula, batch after batch. We protect that trust as the most fragile and most valuable asset we have.
Zero synthetic chemistry
No sulfates. No silicones. No synthetic fragrance. No petroleum derivatives. Our preservation system uses vitamin E and rosemary extract — proven botanicals, not lab-synthesized stabilisers.
Small-batch integrity
Large-scale production compresses timelines and forces ingredient substitutions. We batch in quantities that let us maintain full quality oversight — from extraction through filling.

How every product is made

Wild harvest & procurement
We collect or commission directly from growers. Every batch is logged with harvest date, GPS district, and grower name.

Cold extraction & drying
Temperature-controlled extraction preserves heat-sensitive terpenes and fatty acids that boiling or steam processing destroys.

pH calibration & blending
Each formula is benchmarked against scalp (4.5–5.5) and skin (5.4–5.9) biology before the ingredient ratios are fixed.

Stability & safety testing
Six months of accelerated stability testing. Independent dermatologist review. Only then does a product receive a batch approval.
